We are offering a 5-session enrichment program in biotechnology for high school students. Students will be introduced to and gain hands on experience with biotechnology techniques such as gel electrophoresis, transformation, and PCR,. Students will bridge concepts learned in the classroom with their application and practice in a laboratory wetting to enhance understanding of the skills and processes scientists use to solve real-world problems. The program is designed to align with Maryland Common Core Science Standards and Initiatives. Students will receive a certificate from BUGSS upon successful completion of the program.
PREREQUSITES: Students must currently be in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, and have successfully completed high school Biology

NOTIFICATION: We will notify you regarding acceptance on OCTOBER 14th
COST for all five sessions is $200 for nonmembers and $160 for members. Payment is due in full on OCTOBER 19th.
