Bob Mroz gave quite a talk, on algae for greenhouse gas remediation, which led to oxygen production economics, which led to, well, LEDs, and so much more. Apparently getting into industrial algae has brought Bob into whole new worlds, with a lot of exciting derivative technologies. It was quite an adventure just listening.
Here is a link to presentation slides. Enjoy. Bob told us to tell you that if you have an inquiry, or want to visit the pilot plant effort (and who wouldn't after hearing his talk), please send him an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
No, the picture on the left is not a movie set, but is a system designed to mitigate greenhouse gas release, among other things. Join us as we welcome Bob Mroz, President and CEO of HY-TEK Bio as he helps us with our mission to let you know about some remarkable local biotechnology.
In Bob's words "Mankind continues to dump billions of tons of CO2 and other Greenhouse Gases into the atmosphere, causing rapid deterioration of the air we breathe and water we drink. Efforts to harness clean fusion power are still decades away, wind and solar power is still inefficient and expensive - so we continue to pollute,
HY-TEK Bio has developed a technology that can allow the use of fossil fuels as well as methane and biomass as a clean energy source. Their facility at the Back River Waste Water Treatment Plant in Baltimore is their first fully functioning demonstration of their technology, mitigating 85% of CO2 and 100% of NOx from a methane-fired power plant.
Come discover more about this global “game-changing” technology on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 7pm at BUGGS." This is a free event, but we would really appreciate a donation to keep these sorts of things going. Please RSVP HERE
BUGSS is a 501(C)3 charity. Please help keep BUGSS going!
